According to Pinterest Wedding Trends Report 2026, this year’s celebrations are all about individuality, blending nostalgia with modern flair, softness with statement, and timeless romance with unexpected twists. Together, these trends paint a picture of weddings that are less about following rules, and more about creating an atmosphere, telling a story, and making every detail feel unmistakably yours. Headwear is rising to anchor the look, jewellery is bolder and more eclectic, shoes are more striking and finishing touches feel curated rather than conventional." Jewellery is becoming the new boutonnière, while silver is stepping in as the go-to metal. Cleaner, cooler and more modern." Shop RUUSK Mens Jewellery Unexpected Venues "In 2026, couples want venues that feel transportive, immersive and instantly photogenic. Learn moreLOVE ACROSS GENERATIONS: THE PIECES WE INHERIT, THE STORIES WE KEEP
There is a quiet kind of love that moves through generations. It does not announce itself loudly, nor does it demand attention. Instead, it reveals itself in the objects we keep close – the pieces carefully placed in velvet boxes, worn smooth by time, and passed from one pair of hands to another. Jewellery has always carried this language of continuity. A ring worn daily becomes shaped by the life it accompanies. A pendant gathers memories with every milestone. These pieces become more than adornment; they become markers of presence – reminders of those who came before us, and of the lives that continue because of them. "There is something grounding in selecting jewellery designed to remain – to accompany us through years of change, celebration and growth, and to one day pass on to continue the legacy." To inherit a piece of jewellery is to inherit a story. It may remind you of a grandmother who never took off her gold bangle, a parent who marked an occasion with something meaningful, or a moment when love was made tangible through an object chosen with care. These pieces hold memory in a way few things can. They are worn not just for beauty, but for connection – to people, to moments, to legacy. And while heirlooms often arrive from the past, they are just as much about the future. Because legacy is not built in a single moment. It is built slowly – through rituals, relationships, and the objects that remain constant as life evolves. The heirlooms of tomorrow are the pieces we choose today. To create a personal collection of modern heirlooms is to participate in this continuum. It is a conscious act of choosing permanence in a world that often feels temporary. These pieces will gather their own narratives over time: the years they were worn, the hands they passed through, the lives they touched. Eventually, they will no longer be defined by when they were purchased, but by everything that has happened since. Our new Legacy Collection is an invitation to begin (or continue) that story. To choose pieces not only for how they look now, but for the lives they will accompany, the memories they will hold, and the generations they will one day connect.

Learn moreBIRTHSTONES: BEAUTY, BELIEF AND THE STORIES WE TELL THROUGH STONE
For centuries, birthstones have carried more than sparkle. They’ve been worn as protection, tokens of love, declarations of identity, and even quiet armour against unseen forces. While modern birthstone lists were standardised in the early 20th century, their spiritual meanings stretch back to ancient civilisations that believed gemstones held divine power and were ‘lucky’ for those that wore them. Whether you view them as sacred tools or symbolic keepsakes, birthstones remain a deeply personal tradition where geology meets mythology. January — Garnet Meaning: Protection, vitality, grounding Deep red garnet has long been associated with protection during travel and strength in times of uncertainty. Ancient warriors wore garnets into battle, believing the stone could shield them from harm. Spiritually, garnet is said to ground scattered energy and ignite inner fire, making it a stone of resilience and renewal at the start of the year. February — Amethyst Meaning: Peace, clarity, spiritual awareness Amethyst has a reputation as the philosopher’s stone of calm. Linked to sobriety in ancient Greece and spiritual wisdom in medieval Europe, it is believed to quiet mental chaos and heighten intuition. In modern spiritual circles, amethyst is often associated with higher consciousness and inner balance. March — Aquamarine Meaning: Courage, communication, serenity With its sea-blue hue, aquamarine has been called the sailor’s stone. It was once believed to protect travellers over water and calm stormy seas. Symbolically, it represents emotional clarity and honest expression, a stone for speaking one’s truth with calm conviction. April — Diamond Meaning: Strength, clarity, endurance Diamonds are synonymous with durability and spiritually, that metaphor holds. Long believed to amplify energy and intention, diamonds are said to enhance clarity and strengthen resolve. Their association with eternal love is relatively modern, but the symbolism of invincibility dates back centuries. May — Emerald Meaning: Love, rebirth, wisdom Emerald has been treasured since Cleopatra’s reign. Often associated with fertility and renewal, it carries a long-standing link to heart-centred love. Spiritually, emerald is said to promote emotional balance and inspire compassion fitting for a month that represents full spring bloom in many parts of the world. June — Blue Tourmaline Meaning: Insight, calm communication, emotional flow Blue tourmaline, sometimes called indicolite, carries a serene depth reminiscent of deep water. Spiritually, it is believed to encourage honest communication and gentle self-expression. Many traditions associate it with clarity of thought and emotional healing, a stone that invites truth without turbulence. July — Ruby Meaning: Passion, vitality, protection Ruby’s fiery red has made it a symbol of life force across cultures. In ancient India, it was known as the “king of gems.” Spiritually, ruby is said to stimulate courage, confidence, and motivation. It is a stone that burns brightly and unapologetically. August — Peridot Meaning: Prosperity, positivity, protection from negativity Peridot’s vibrant green glow once led people to mistake it for emerald. Historically believed to ward off negative energy, it is associated today with optimism and abundance. Some spiritual traditions claim peridot clears resentment and encourages growth. September — Sapphire Meaning: Wisdom, loyalty, divine favour Sapphire has long symbolised truth and spiritual insight. Medieval clergy wore it as a symbol of heaven, believing it aligned the mind with divine order. Today, sapphire is commonly linked to loyalty and integrity and is a stone of steady, thoughtful strength. October — Pink Tourmaline Meaning: Compassion, emotional healing, heart-centred love Pink tourmaline is often associated with the heart. Spiritually, it is said to promote gentleness, empathy, and emotional restoration. Its soft yet vibrant tone reflects its symbolism of strength expressed through compassion rather than force. November — Citrine Meaning: Joy, abundance, manifestation With its golden glow, citrine has long been connected to prosperity and optimism. Sometimes called the “merchant’s stone,” it is believed to attract success and stimulate creativity. Spiritually, citrine represents warmth, confidence, and forward-moving energy. December — Blue Topaz Meaning: Truth, communication, peaceful expression Blue topaz carries a cool, tranquil clarity. Traditionally associated with calm and clarity of speech, it is said to enhance communication and soothe emotional tension. Spiritually, blue topaz symbolises honesty and thoughtful expression. Learn more5 THOUGHTFUL QUESTIONS TO GUIDE YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING DESIGN
Designing an engagement ring is an intimate and meaningful journey – one that goes far beyond selecting a stone or setting. It is an opportunity to reflect on your relationship, your shared story, and the moments that have shaped you as a couple. Taking the time to ask the right questions ensures your ring feels deeply personal, considered, and uniquely yours. Below are five thoughtful questions to guide you through the process and uncover what truly matters as you begin designing a ring that tells your love story. 1. What does your everyday jewellery look like? Consider the pieces you naturally reach for each day. Are they minimal and understated, or bold and expressive? Do you prefer classic silhouettes or contemporary details? Reflect on your lifestyle, routines, and the way you envision wearing your engagement ring every day. This helps guide practical design decisions – like band width, setting height, and stone shape – so your ring is as comfortable and wearable as it is beautiful. 2. Is there a meaningful moment in your love story you’d like to capture? From where you met to a shared memory or milestone, many couples choose to weave a subtle narrative into their ring. This could be expressed through an engraving, a hidden detail, or even the stone colour itself – perhaps the rich blue-green hues of a sapphire to represent the way the sky met the horizon during your first date. These details transform your ring into a tangible reminder of a moment that defines your journey together. 3. What materials feel most meaningful to you? Whether it’s solid gold, a specific metal tone, or a natural or laboratory-grown diamond, your choice of materials reflects your values and intentions. This question encourages thoughtful consideration of what resonates most with you – balancing beauty, durability, and meaning in a way that feels right for your story. 4. How do you envision your engagement ring with future wedding or eternity bands? Thinking ahead to how your engagement ring might be paired or stacked with wedding or eternity bands can inform its profile, shape, and proportions. Considering these future pairings ensures your initial design harmonises beautifully with the pieces you may add over the years, creating a cohesive and timeless set. 5. What do you want this ring to represent, now and in the years to come? An engagement ring marks a beginning, but it’s also a piece you’ll carry forward through life. Reflecting on its long-term significance helps guide a design that feels timeless – one that continues to hold meaning as your story evolves, and can even be cherished and passed on for generations to come as a symbol of commitment, love, and shared future. Designing your engagement ring should feel as intentional as the love it represents. By reflecting on these questions, you create space for a ring that is not only beautifully crafted, but deeply personal – one that tells your story in every detail.

Learn moreRUUSK COUPLE: JESS & LOGAN
Some love stories unfold quietly, grounded in ease, warmth and an immediate sense of belonging. Jess and Logan’s began with a simple coffee and walk, and grew into a relationship defined by deep listening, comfort and shared joy. In their journal, they reflect on the moments – both ordinary and unforgettable – that led them to choose each other, and the meaning woven into the rings they now wear as a symbol of that promise. How did you two first meet, and what were your first impressions of each other? We met on Hinge! A real Hinge success story. For our first date, we met on a sunny afternoon in January 2022 for a coffee and bush walk. J: my first impression of Logan was that he looked better than his photos (a win!). And after our first date, I thought he was an incredible listener and a deep thinker with such a natural air of kindness. L: I thought Jess was sweet and funny and artistic, and beautiful in such an honest way. I think the biggest impression I was left with was how every moment felt so comfortable together. Is there a story from early on that you retell often - a moment that still makes you smile? J: We had been on a few dates, and I had mentioned Logan to my sisters, and showed them photos, of course. One morning, I received a text from my younger sister who was out for her morning coffee, informing me that Logan had just walked into the same coffee shop, complete with a sneaky photo of him. It didn't take long for my older sister, who was conveniently in the area, to also appear at the coffee shop to sneak a peek at Logan, providing me with updates of his movements ha! L: As we were wrapping up our first date (or so I thought), we approach our cars parked side by side and I'm thinking about how to ask this woman to go on another date with me. Jess, however, is not done with our time and promptly jumps onto the boot of my car, conversation unbroken, and with her sat atop my car excitedly explaining something it dawns on me that she might just be into me. She didn't get off my car for another hour or two as we chatted away until the sun set and I might have missed my dinner plans that night but it was absolutely worth it. What do you hope your loved ones see and feel when they’re around you as a couple? Our real relationship - the deep, unconditional love we have for each other, the joy we bring each other, and the safety, peace and calm space we provide for each other and our relationship. You recently were married overseas - congratulations! Now that the wedding day has gently settled into memory, what moment rises to the surface first when you think back on it? J: We decided on a few non-traditional wedding moments, one of my fondest was meeting the morning of for a coffee and pastry together. We were both staying with our families separately in Bath the week of the wedding, so this moment together was just us; slow, intimate, peace among the busyness. We chose to have our morning coffee at Landrace, where our reception was later that day. A cafe and bakery downstairs, a wine bar upstairs, the best of it all. L: There was a moment in the middle of the reception dinner and I looked out across our family and friends as the room roared with laughter, jazz music playing, the clamour of good food and great wine being shared across tables and I turned to Jess and realised this was exactly what we wanted: our dearest, together sharing in joy and celebration. You exchanged your RUUSK rings in such a meaningful moment - what does wearing them now, as a married couple, symbolise for each of you? J: Our rings to me, represent our vows, the eternal promises we made to each other. When we were saying our vows to each other, what stood out to me was the weightiness of these promises we were making, and the bigger promise we were making to each other in marriage. L: A beautiful reminder of the infinity we get to share in, and I like to imagine as the rings settle on our fingers and age with us, we see a reflection in the precious metal of the journey we've been on together. If you could describe this new chapter in three words, what would they be, and why? Onwards and downwards Early days, on a date, we heard a child yelling "onwards and downwards" at the top of a set of stairs, we laughed and found ourselves saying it ever since.

There’s something truly magical about this time of year. A gentle slowing-down, a deepening of connection, and a quiet reminder of what really matters: love, presence, and shared memories. At RUUSK, the holiday season isn’t just about gifting. It’s about treasuring time: the laughter shared over long lunches, the sparkle of fairy lights that come on as the sun sets, the family traditions woven through new memories. Here’s how we’re embracing this special time of year with our loved ones, and how you might, too. 1. Creating Memories, Not Just Giving GiftsInstead of rushing to tick off gift lists, we’re choosing to spend time crafting heartfelt notes, sharing family recipes (mum’s Christmas cookies please), and hand-wrapping intentional gifts that offer sentimental value. 2. Making Space for Traditions - Old and NewThere’s a deep beauty in tradition, and during the holidays, we lean into the rituals that make the season feel whole. Lighting candles each night, playing the same music we grew up with, or hosting an annual dinner with chosen family - these small acts hold so much love. This year, we’re also exploring new traditions, like gratitude circles and memory jars, to carry with us into the New Year 3. Honouring ConnectionWhether it's gathering around the candle-lit table, catching up over an aperol in the sunshine, or finally calling your childhood best-friend, we’re making space for connection. Our jewellery is designed to celebrate these very moments: the ones that say “I love you,” “I see you,” “You’re amazing.” This season, we’re proud to be part of so many meaningful exchanges: proposals, anniversaries, celebrations of a first holiday as a new parent. 4. A Gentle PauseOver the holiday period, our team takes a short break to rest, recharge, and be fully present with our loved ones. It’s in this pause that creativity blooms and purpose deepens. We step into the New Year inspired by your stories and grateful for the community we’ve built. From our hands to yours, thank you for letting RUUSK be a part of your stories this year. May this season bring you joy, deep connection, and happy memories that last well beyond the holidays. With love,Mimi (Mary) & The RUUSK Team Image Credits: Pinterest
