Behind every engagement ring and wedding band within the Love, Always collection is a considered process that values craftsmanship over speed, intention over excess, and quality that endures for generations. While this collection introduces new silhouettes and thoughtful design details, it is also a continuation of what has always defined RUUSK: creating modern heirlooms that honour both the story they tell and the way they are made.

Every RUUSK piece begins in our Sydney studio, where ideas are first explored through hand sketches. Every curve, proportion and setting is carefully considered, balancing timeless aesthetics with the integrity required of fine jewellery designed to be worn every day.

Before a design is brought to life in solid gold, it moves through a process of continual refinement. Wax models allow us to assess each piece in three dimension, making minute adjustments to proportions, balance and scale. It is a collaborative process of reviewing, refining and perfecting, ensuring the final design remains true to our original vision before it reaches the bench.

Only then is each piece handcrafted in solid gold. All of our suppliers and jewellers are local, allowing us to remain connected to every stage of production, ensuring every engagement ring is created to the exacting standards we believe a forever piece deserves.

The final step is one of quiet transformation. Each ring is carefully polished, revealing the warmth of the gold, the brilliance of the diamond, and the craftsmanship within every considered detail. Solid gold jewellery is designed to be worn and loved for a lifetime. Over time, your pieces will naturally develop small marks and a soft patina – signs of a life well lived. With a little care, you can keep your jewellery looking its best for years to come. Cleaning Your Jewellery CLEANING STONES For an easy cleaning routine, we recommend using the Dr Diamond Jewellery Cleaning Range, available at RUUSK. You can shop Dr Diamond here. Alternatively, for regular at-home cleaning, soak your jewellery in warm water with a small amount of mild dish soap for 10–15 minutes. Gently brush away any build-up with a extra soft toothbrush before rinsing and drying thoroughly with a lint-free cloth. In addition to at-home care, we recommend having your jewellery professionally cleaned and inspected every 12–24 months. This allows a jeweller to thoroughly clean hard-to-reach areas, check the security of gemstones and settings, and identify any wear before it becomes an issue. Regular maintenance helps ensure your pieces remain beautiful and secure for years to come. CLEANING GOLD  Over time, your jewellery may develop surface marks from daily wear. This is completely normal and part of the character of solid gold. Each RUUSK piece comes with a polishing cloth which can be used to buff away surface marks and can be used regularly on yellow gold, rose gold and platinum (we do not advise self-polishing for white gold). How to Store Your Pieces When not being worn, store your jewellery in a soft pouch or jewellery box to prevent scratching. We recommend keeping pieces separate, particularly diamond rings and bracelets, as diamonds can scratch other metals and gemstones. Necklaces should be fastened before storing to minimise tangling. What to Avoid While solid gold is made to be worn every day, a few precautions can help preserve its finish: Remove jewellery before heavy lifting, gardening, or high-impact activities. Avoid exposure to harsh household cleaning products. Remove rings before swimming in chlorinated pools. Apply perfumes, lotions, and beauty products before putting on jewellery. Be mindful when wearing jewellery to the gym, beach, or during manual work. When to Consider a Professional Polish Over time, your jewellery may develop surface marks from daily wear. This is completely normal and part of the character of solid gold.  If you'd like to restore its original finish, a professional polish can refresh the surface and bring back its shine. Many clients choose to have frequently worn pieces polished every few years, depending on wear. If your ring feels consistently too tight, too loose, or spins excessively on the finger, it may be time to consider a resize. A properly fitting ring should slide comfortably over the knuckle while feeling secure during everyday wear.
