Sustainable Jewellery in Australia | Recycled Gold & Ethical Sourcing
Jewellery designed to be treasured for generations.
Founded in 2017, RUUSK was built on the belief jewellery should be more than an accessory; it should hold meaning, celebrate milestones, and evolve with you over time. Our collections are designed to be layered and lived in, growing alongside the moments that define you and in celebration of the great loves in your life.
Made slowly, just for you in Sydney Australia.

Never plated. Never vermeil. RUSK is committed to handcrafting heirloom quality solid gold jewellery, made to order just for you.
Each RUUSK piece begins as a wax carving or sketch before being lovingly handcrafted using a blend of traditional and modern techniques. Our team of skilled local jewellers, engravers, and stone setters bring these designs to life, ensuring every detail is considered. Each piece is carefully checked in our Sydney Studio, before being lovingly boxed, ready for our customers.
We work exclusively with solid 9ct, 14ct, and 18ct gold or platinum - never gold-plated or filled. We choose quality materials that will stand the test of time. Our metals are locally recycled and refined, aligning with our commitment to sustainability. Our gemstones are sourced with care, featuring conflict-free natural diamonds, lab diamonds, and locally sourced Australian sapphires. Other stone options are available upon request.
We invite you to be part of the creative journey: whether it's adding a custom engraving, meaningful gemstone, or a design personalised just for you, our jewellery is made to be as unique as the person who wears it, and we take great pride ensuring every detail feels perfect for it's wearer.
Sydney Studio

In April 2026 we opened the doors to our new Sydney Studio. A dedicated space for customers to take a quiet pause from the outside world, try pieces on, feel the weight of solid gold in their hands.
Our team is there to help you find what's right for you. Whether you're at the beginning of your search or almost there, we welcome you with no pressure, no rush. Just you, the jewellery, soft music playing, and the time to decide.
About our Creative Director & Owner, Mary
In 2025 Mary (Mimi) took ownership of the brand, drawn to its values and the community it had already begun building. A lawyer turned designer with a deep personal connection to heirloom craft, she brought with her a vision for what RUUSK could become: a brand where every piece holds a story, and where the experience of choosing it is as considered as the piece itself.

THE MEANING OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING
Three brides. Three love stories. Three distinct rings. While every engagement ring represents commitment, the silhouette you choose often reflects something more personal. Whether you're drawn to timeless simplicity, rich symbolism, or sculptural design, each style tells a different story. Not just about your aesthetic, but about the way you see love. The Solitaire For the timeless romantic. The solitaire has remained an enduring symbol of love for generations, not because it follows tradition, but because it transcends it. Its quiet confidence allows the diamond to speak for itself, proving that the most meaningful things rarely ask for attention. For those drawn to a solitaire, love is often found in life's simplest moments. Handwritten letters kept for years. Fresh flowers on the kitchen table. Sunday mornings spent together. Uncomplicated, enduring, and effortlessly elegant, the solitaire is chosen by those who believe true classics only grow more meaningful with time. The Trilogy For the sentimental storyteller. The trilogy has long symbolised the journey of a relationship: where you've been, where you are, and everything still to come. Three stones, each carrying a chapter, brought together in one lasting piece. It's a silhouette that speaks to those who collect memories as carefully as they collect heirlooms. Those who see meaning in family traditions, old photographs, handwritten recipes, and jewellery passed from one generation to the next. A trilogy ring isn't simply worn. It carries a story forward. Sculptural Statements For the modern muse. Some pieces aren't chosen because they follow convention. They're chosen because they feel unmistakably yours. With bold proportions, architectural lines, and sculptural forms, these designs celebrate individuality without compromising timelessness. They feel considered rather than excessive; expressive rather than fleeting. For those drawn to sculptural silhouettes, jewellery is an extension of identity. They appreciate thoughtful design, quiet luxury, and pieces with presence. Not because they seek attention, but because they recognise beauty in craftsmanship, proportion, and form. Their ring becomes a reflection of their perspective. Modern today, meaningful forever. Choosing the Ring That Tells Your Story There is no single way for an engagement ring to look. The right piece isn't defined by trends or expectations, but by the life it will accompany. It should feel deeply personal – something you'll reach for every morning and treasure for decades to come. Whether your heart is drawn to the enduring simplicity of a solitaire, the sentiment of a trilogy, or the sculptural beauty of a contemporary design, the most meaningful choice is the one that feels like home. After all, an engagement ring isn't simply a symbol of a proposal. It's the beginning of a story you'll carry for a lifetime.

Learn moreHOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SOLID GOLD JEWELLERY
Solid gold jewellery is designed to be worn and loved for a lifetime. Over time, your pieces will naturally develop small marks and a soft patina – signs of a life well lived. With a little care, you can keep your jewellery looking its best for years to come. Cleaning Your Jewellery CLEANING STONES For an easy cleaning routine, we recommend using the Dr Diamond Jewellery Cleaning Range, available at RUUSK. You can shop Dr Diamond here. Alternatively, for regular at-home cleaning, soak your jewellery in warm water with a small amount of mild dish soap for 10–15 minutes. Gently brush away any build-up with a extra soft toothbrush before rinsing and drying thoroughly with a lint-free cloth. In addition to at-home care, we recommend having your jewellery professionally cleaned and inspected every 12–24 months. This allows a jeweller to thoroughly clean hard-to-reach areas, check the security of gemstones and settings, and identify any wear before it becomes an issue. Regular maintenance helps ensure your pieces remain beautiful and secure for years to come. CLEANING GOLD Over time, your jewellery may develop surface marks from daily wear. This is completely normal and part of the character of solid gold. Each RUUSK piece comes with a polishing cloth which can be used to buff away surface marks and can be used regularly on yellow gold, rose gold and platinum (we do not advise self-polishing for white gold). How to Store Your Pieces When not being worn, store your jewellery in a soft pouch or jewellery box to prevent scratching. We recommend keeping pieces separate, particularly diamond rings and bracelets, as diamonds can scratch other metals and gemstones. Necklaces should be fastened before storing to minimise tangling. What to Avoid While solid gold is made to be worn every day, a few precautions can help preserve its finish: Remove jewellery before heavy lifting, gardening, or high-impact activities. Avoid exposure to harsh household cleaning products. Remove rings before swimming in chlorinated pools. Apply perfumes, lotions, and beauty products before putting on jewellery. Be mindful when wearing jewellery to the gym, beach, or during manual work. When to Consider a Professional Polish Over time, your jewellery may develop surface marks from daily wear. This is completely normal and part of the character of solid gold. If you'd like to restore its original finish, a professional polish can refresh the surface and bring back its shine. Many clients choose to have frequently worn pieces polished every few years, depending on wear. Image Source: Pinterest When to Get Your Ring Resized Your fingers can change over time due to lifestyle, seasons, and life stages. If your ring feels consistently too tight, too loose, or spins excessively on the finger, it may be time to consider a resize. A properly fitting ring should slide comfortably over the knuckle while feeling secure during everyday wear. Designed to Last At RUUSK, we create modern heirlooms intended to be worn through every chapter of life. With thoughtful care and occasional maintenance, your jewellery can continue to tell your story for generations to come.
