PRODUCTION TIME
Please allow 6 weeks for your special piece to be made especially for you. This doesn't include postage time, and if you live internationally you may need to allow for another week for shipping.
Please note, any special pieces featuring hand engraving, is a Bespoke creation or using Heirloom stones will require an additional 2-4 weeks. The addition of laser engraving will not extend our usual turnaround time.
DOMESTIC PARCELS
All parcels sent to an Australian address are shipped via complimentary insured and express Australia post; your parcel will require a signature on delivery. We will email you a tracking number once your special pieces are ready so you can monitor your parcel's journey. You should expect to receive your parcel within 1-4 business days depending on your location.
INTERNATIONAL PARCELS
We regularly ship all of our special pieces all around the world with express & fully insured DHL & FedEx; your parcel will require a signature on delivery. The cost of shipping is calculated at the checkout however, please email us at enquiries@ruusk.com should you have any questions.
You can expect your parcel to arrive within 3-10 business days (location dependant) and we will include your email and phone number on your shipment so you receive tracking updates from DHL/FedEx. We will also email you a tracking number to monitor your parcel's journey.
Please note, RUUSK is not liable for any duty, import or custom charges you may incur. As such, we recommend checking with your local customs office to determine any relevant taxes that may be incurred.

HIGH POLISHED FINISH
A high polished finish, the most common finish on jewellery, makes the surface of a special piece very shiny and reflective. As all of our special pieces are designed for daily wear, your ring will gain some fine little scratches over time. The mirror-like finish will wear to a natural worn finish as it develops its own patina. However, this can easily be re-polished to return your piece to its original shine.
MATTE FINISH
A matte finish is a soft, non-shiny finish with a slight texture to it. Alloys tend to look a little darker with this finish as it diffuses the light rather than reflecting it. Over time, this matte finish will fade to a smoother texture across the surface of your piece. At any stage, you would be easily able to re-mattify your piece to return its surface to its original textured aesthetic.
Whether you choose a high polished or matte finish, there isn't a wrong choice! Both finishes will wear off over time and, with daily love and wear, both finishes will eventually meet each other somewhere in the middle. This is because all finishes fade with wear over time. However, if in a few or several years you notice your finishing has faded, you would be more than welcome to re-polish or re-mattify your special piece.
*NOTE FOR WHITE GOLD MATT PIECES*
We've found that most prefer to omit rhodium plating when choosing a matte White Gold piece as this allows the natural warmer white tones (9ct & 14ct) or the beautiful dark white grey tones (18ct) of White Gold to come through; rhodium plating gives White Gold a brighter, whiter appearance. As such, we generally omit rhodium plating on our matte White Gold pieces. However, if you would prefer to include rhodium plating on your White Gold matte piece, please let us know.
