RUUSK COUPLES: MEGAN & LUCAS

Love stories often begin with a chance encounter, a shared interest, or a fateful moment. For Megan and Lucas, it was the waves of their local surf break that brought them together. They first crossed paths at the age of 14, but little did they know that the seeds of their love story were being sown. Their relationship didn't truly take off until they were 22, and they decided to brave the trials of long-distance love.

The decision to embark on a long-distance relationship was not an easy one, but looking back, they believe it's what deepened their connection. While she was studying on the Gold Coast, Lucas continued to live in the place where they grew up, the Central Coast. The physical distance between them was challenging, but it encouraged them to cherish every moment together.

They made it a point to make the most of their visits, filling each day with exciting activities. Their fondest memories revolve around their camping trips, snowboarding adventures, surf getaways, and nights spent camping in the back of the car. These moments were the building blocks of their shared history and deepened their love.

Lucas's proposal was as heartfelt and genuine as their relationship. He booked a weekend getaway for them to relax after a few hectic months. They stayed in a tiny home on a property in the hinterland, and their dog was right there with them. The proposal was beautifully simple yet incredibly meaningful.

Lucas had tied the engagement ring box around their dog's collar and called her out to the deck, where they were waiting for her. It was a delightful surprise, and the weekend that followed was filled with champagne, a cheese platter, and breathtaking sunsets.

We had the pleasure of creating Megan's beautiful solitaire ring for their engagement, and soon later their wedding bands. "We followed RUUSK's journey for a few years and always loved your unique style. After Lucas proposed with my beautiful solitaire ring, we both wanted to customise our wedding bands to match and make them represent us in some way. It’s been so special and such a smooth process...it feels extremely personal. I cannot wait to create another band one day" Megan said.

Their bands was such a special pair. The couple designed theirs to match to which Megan shares, "Lucas and I always loved the idea of him to have a black diamond on his band and I wanted to have a few diamonds to compliment my solitaire." Megan and Lucas came to us with this idea, and together, we dreamt up Megan's ring to have a black diamond on the side of her band. This way, when she moved her finger, she'll see the black diamond that matched her husband's.

Megan and Lucas also had their wedding date and initials engraved on their rings, reminding them of their special and enduring love.
