Sarah's 10 Year Anniversary Sapphire Solitaire
We are thrilled to share with you Sarah and Tyson - a beautiful couple who recently celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary. It was an absolute honour to create Sarah's stunning Sapphire Solitaire Ring, a modern heirloom to mark a very special occasion, and a piece that is made to be passed down through the generations.
How did you and Tyson meet?
We met at our high school bus stop when I was 13 and Tyson was 14 in Sydney. I moved to Cairns with my family when I was 15 and a few years later Tyson joined the Navy and was ironically posted to Cairns which is when we started dating in 2008, I was 18 years old and Tyson was 19.
Why did you decide to create your special piece with RUUSK?
I had been following RUUSK on Instagram for a while and I just fell in love with the pieces and craftsmanship and it just felt right to go through RUUSK to design my new ring.

What's your favourite memory together?
So many beautiful memories it’s hard to choose just one! So I will just go with something recent, our vow renewal ceremony with our girls, I actually preferred that ceremony and vows compared to when we got married in 2011, it was just beautiful and romantic and full of meaning and love.
After 10 years of marriage, do you have any wise words for creating a strong, lasting relationship?
Support each other’s passions even if it doesn’t interest you, allow your partner the freedom to pursue what they want in life but also find balance and listen to each other even if you think it’s trivial. Make time for romance and look after each other, it’s the little things.
What are you looking forward to in your next 10 years together?
Our next chapter, we are relocating so this will be a new adventure for us. Our canvas is blank so we will see how we paint it.
